Your Neighbourhood

As a councillor, it’s important to me to be able to keep track of what matters across my ward. Below, you will find a list of issues that have been identified by residents across Sugarloaf Ward. I will investigate and take action on every issue you raise. Please read through the issues below and hit the ‘Add’ button if there’s anything else that matters to you in your neighbourhood.

  • “Reynolds Rd needs speed bumps!”
  • “I don’t feel safe driving down Research-Warrandyte Road.”

  • “Our facilities aren’t maintained properly in Research. The chicken shop wall is just an example of that.”
  • “No traffic lights at the end of Leane Drive!”
  • “Research was founded on mudbrick buildings. I don’t like seeing so many ugly new buildings going up.”
  • “We need more footpaths so we can get around Research on foot.”
  • “Allendale road needs to be made safer especially with increased car traffic and a lot of people using the walking paths.”
  • “Power cuts are far too regular here.”

  • “Safe walking path would be nice. A bit tricky at times with little ones.”
  • “It would be nice if the council regularly cut the grass, especially as we approach snake season.”

  • “Don’t let them build a helipad in Kangaroo Ground.”
  • “I live on a narrow road and we get so many huge trucks coming past at ridiculous speeds. Why is half of St Andrews a rat run?”
  • “We need a footpath through town to make St Andrews safer and more walkable.”
  • “We should install electronic speed limit signs outside the school so drivers always know what speed they should be doing as they drive by. They have them in Hurstbridge. Why not here?”
