My name is Ben Ramcharan and I’m the councillor for Sugarloaf Ward, Nillumbik Council.
I love living here in North Warrandyte, in such close proximity to Research, Kangaroo Ground, St. Andrews, Bend of Islands and Christmas Hills. I have been involved in many local committees, including the Warrandyte Community Association and Friends of Nillumbik, helping to run campaigns on issues such as protecting the Green Wedge and neighbourhood character, improving road safety and tackling the Climate Emergency. I’m passionate about making this area a safer and even better place for all of us to live. This is why I love being a councillor.
Protecting our local environment and local character are some of my top priorities. I’m also working hard to improve on issues which the community has raised with me such as drainage, road safety, local trails and paths and financial management.
